Varying Your Selling Style
Workshop Description
Many salespeople tend to use the same selling style, or approach, with all of their customers. This workshop will teach how to vary your selling style, when needed, which will increase the likelihood of making a sale. This interactive 2-hour workshop highlights practical concepts and guidelines, including a large group demonstration exercise that highlights four different selling styles.
Depending on what works best for you, the workshop can be taught in-person or virtually. Peak Selling will also customize the content at no additional cost to include examples that are relevant to your company and industry.
Who Should Attend?
All salespeople will learn skills that will become a foundation for their future success. It is especially well-suited for newer salespeople so that they can learn early in their career how and when to vary their selling style.
Topics and Objectives
1. The Four Best Selling Styles: We start the workshop by teaching the four selling styles that are most appropriate based on how selling has evolved. This includes a self-survey that identifies each person's natural selling style and their individual areas for improvement.
2. Assessing the Customer's Personality Type: You will learn three customer personality types, followed by a discussion and brainstorm activity as to which selling styles are most optimal for that particular customer personality. A large group demonstration exercise is then used to illustrate the effectiveness of matching the best Selling Style to each Customer Personality Type.
3. Strategic Considerations: The workshop concludes with teaching and discussion on other factors that influence whether or not you should use your natural Selling Style or convert to something else. For example: What should you do if you are meeting with multiple customer contacts?
